Recognition is a way we show how thankful we are for the people in our lives, and this November we wanted to make sure the entire Gourley Capital Management crew felt recognized for their work. We’ve had an amazing 2019 and the entire organization is to thank for that. Our firm is growing and breaking goals every month, which is a credit to how well everyone has pulled together and put the team first.
Team Gourley Capital Management is more than just a collection of people though. There’s also a supportive and empowering office culture to back us up. Values like gratitude, teamwork, and exceeding expectations are woven into our company’s policies and procedures, so that when we’re in the workplace we’re guided by these ideals.
The team is also strong because of how we select new hires. During the interview, we focus more on soft skills that suggest a person would thrive in our unique workplace environment. Hard skills like work history or education might play a role in our choices, but we’ll go with the team player who’s also a polished communicator every time, regardless of their experience.
Then, of course, there’s our training system. Mentorship, workshops, and seminars give everyone here access to all the tools and knowhow they need to thrive, and we even travel to learning events. Not only does our knowledge base grow, but as we work together to improve ourselves we also build bonds with one another as well.
